Prayer Walk Reflection: Forgiven & Restored

Recently, I had the privilege to walk the fitness path at my former school, The College of New Jersey.

I love to prayer walk and am always on the lookout for paths to explore as a means to be alone a bit amidst the busyness of family, work, and summer activities.

Those who know me well, realize that my experiences here as a young adult boasted challenge after challenge. To sum it up, I left this particular college campus without my degree, confused in my faith, and linked to the wrong relationships. When I should have focused on my studies more, I wasted time and financial aid instead. When I should have been seeking God, I rejected the Lord’s love and care for me instead. When I should have broken up with my ex-boyfriend and put a halt to dating all together, I feared being alone instead.

It was a ”messy” time in my life, but God is faithful…

Today I get to reflect on my recent walk and understand more of how GOOD God is because He is faithful even when I’m not.

In time, I not only received my Bachelors Degree, but a Masters Degree as well. I accepted Jesus Christ as my true Savior and committed my mind, heart, body, and soul to Him. I shunned purposeless dating and eventually got married to the one man I’d connected with emotionally, mentally, and SPIRITUALLY.

Whom the Lord forgives, He also restores…

I’m in awe of this reality even in 2022. The ”happy tears” have been flowing since my walk at the very place I’d lost my way. God saw past my mistakes and chose to view me as a NEW CREATION…

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

How have you accepted the Lord’s forgiveness? How has God restored you? #LetsReflect #LetsTestify
